11. Ruins of Kozuka Castle

This is a mountain castle built on a mountain aside of the dividing ridge between Tokyo wharf and Sotobo. The river stream branching from Kamogawa at the foot of the
mountain creates a natural moat. The steep mountain sides have been stepped-cut and surrounded by the koshiguruwa (defence area). This castle does not serve multiple purposes such as a residence and a place for administer practices, but is purely made for defence in war. It is also said to be the residence castle of the Takanashi clan.

Takakura Shrine sits on the summit of a pyramid-shaped hill that is 170m high. Now, the approach ascending from the Hiratsuka Hongo direction of the three approaches which used to be there remains as it was, but the front of the other two old approaches are unused. It ends mid-way, but the old front of the approach was a wide pathway of stone stairs with both sides furnished with stone walls, just like a castle. A stone sitting statue of Fudo-Myouo has been excavated from the First Shrine Gate of the back approach.
13. Site of Place that did Catch of Horse in the Mineoka West Ranch

The horse-catching site of the Mineoka West Ranch is within the Agriculture Union Corporation "Shizen Okoku (Nature Kingdom)" premises, and traces of the Noma bank on the mountain side and the Noma bank on the valley side slightly remain. Until the bank fences were destroyed to make a mandarin farm, there were three blocks of a furrow divided by banks of 3m high, and they were used for torikomi, wakegomi and tomegomi. Ever since the Meiji Era, a horse market was held here annually.

This is a holy site of rain-making rituals. It is told that, during the great drought in Tensho Era, Satomi Yoshizane prayed for rain here. Even now, when people pray for
rain at Takakura Shrine, they take water from Isakiike Pond and take it to Takakura Shrine to be blessed. There are tumuluses on which the monument stands dedicated to the Hachidai Ryuoh (The Eight Great Dragon Gods _ Nandaryu-o, Batsunandaryu-o, Shagararyu-o, Washukitsuryu-o, Tokushakaryu-o, Anabadattaryu-o, Manashiryu-o, Uhatsuraryu-o) beside Isakiike Pond. It has a similar shape to the kyozuka (mound of Buddhist scriptures) of Ohyamafudo temple and draws attention.
15. Site of Place that did Catch of Horse in the Mineoka Ranch

The number of horse-catching places in Mineoka is still inaccurate. In other ranches under the Tokugawa government's direct control, there is one horse-catching place per divided ranches - so in Mineoka Ranch, where there are five ranches (Higashi-kamimaki, Higashi-shimomaki, Nishi-ichimaki, Nishi-nimaki, Kashiragi-maki), there is a high possibility that there were five horse-catching places. It estimated from that point, this site can be seen as the horse-catching place of Nishi-ichimaki. However, Mineoka ranch has ancient ranches and the ranches of the Satomi clan from the Civil War Period overlapped, so there is also a possibility that this was a horse-catching place from earlier eras.

There are five rows of Koln hill created by four faults spreading from east to west in the Mineoka Hills, and Dainichi is enshrined at the West end of the 3rd Koln hill
from the top. Not only can visitors observe a panoramic view of the villages of Motona and Otashiro from here, but they can also view Mt. Fuji over the Hakone peaks. The Dainichi-nyorai statue is laid in a distinctive cabinet made from stone carved out from the boulder there.

The largest stone shrine in Kanto was built using Motona stones in 1824. The statue of the shrine god Kakutsuchino-Mikoto (Shogun-Jizo), likened to Tamura Nakamaro riding on a white horse, is enshrined in this stone shrine. Atagojinja shrine, which is a god of warriors and warding fire, is a shrine that was fundamental to Mineoka Ranch along with Bato-kannon. Atagojinja shrine was also a place to pray for rain and is also called a rainmaking tumulus.
18. Birth Place of KOIZUMI,Chikashi

Koizumi Chikashi, a poet who typifies the Araragi School, was born on September 26th 1886 as the eldest son of a farming family in Hosono village. He was posting his Tanka (short poems) to magazines such as "Shokokumin", "Kokoro-no-Hana" and "Ashibi" and newspapers "Yorozu-Choho" and "Nippon" since he was 13 years old. The camellia well in the premises of his home still carries the appearance of the time when Chikashi wrote his poems.

The area around Mineoka is dotted with temples built by the Masaki clan. Choanji temple of Soto sect shohonzan (sub-head temple) is one of them, and it is told that it was established by Masaki Tokitada, lord of Mihara castle, in 1605. In 1598, it was granted 125 goku (unit of area measured by how much rice crop it can bear) as its territory by Satomi Yoshiyasu. It was officially given a red seal during the reign of Tokugawa Iemitsu.
